Today I tackled using my sewing machine all by my very own self, unsupervised!!!!
I have fallen in love with the owl shapes that have been popping up everywhere and decided to copy them, inspired by a friends "rice icepacks" I decided to try my hand at them. Sock monkey's are my other little love and so when I found sock monkeys on fabric I decided it was a match made in heaven!
It isn't perfect by any means, and I had to sew alot more of it by hand than I wanted, but overall I am pleased. I think it is adorable, and plan to make him some buddies in the near future!
I saw an owl just like that filled with sand and used as a door stop! I thought it was wonderful (hint, hint, hint).
